Part of the San Fernando Valley in Southern California, the community currently known as North Hollywood has a rich history influenced by the fighting between Mexico and the U.S. in the early 1800s. A treaty was signed to end the fighting at a location on Lankershim Boulevard, the road for which the community was originally named.
